 Ever wonder where Neem oil comes from?  

A tropical neem tree produces neem oil.  

 

Neem oil contains: 

  • Vitamin E 

  • Antioxidants 

  • Fatty acids (EFA) 

  • Calcium 

 

Neem oil can be used to treat:

Even with a strong smell, neem oil is used in making several skin and beauty products like hair oils, creams, and cosmetics.  

 

Using Neem oil can be tricky. When you first purchase it, make sure the Neem oil has a mustard-like yellow color. Make sure you refrigerate it when not in use. You have to first sample out a small portion of the Neem oil on your arm to see if your allergic to the same. If you do not see any redness on the area, you have applied the Neem oil, you can use it on your face. When applying Neem oil, skincare products cannot be used. Make sure you apply the Neem oil onto a cotton ball. Allow 20 minutes for it to be soaked up by the skin before you wash it off with warm water. You can use it daily till you see the desired results.   



 

Neem oil has a very distinct smell and potency and hence it is always advisable to use the Neem oil with other oils like coconut and jojoba to help cover large areas of your body. You can use the combined oils like you would a moisturizer. Neem oil mixed with aloe vera helps soothe irritated skin.
